Malik Mé
Biography: Malik Mé is a Singer/ Songwriter / Composer, born in Algeria (north Africa) He spend his childhood in an artistic environment, where singing and percussion as well as traditional celebrations were part of everyday life of his family. Malik Mé learned how to play percussion by accompanying Chansons, which his father used to listen to. He spend his time with artists and musicians, discovered his love for percussion and groove and started to perfect his singing. His interest in new musical adventures was fueled by Reggae, Funk, Blues as well as by gregorian chants. Malik Mé did several international Tours (France, Italy, Rssia, Tunesia, etc) as a singer and Percussionist with different Bands.Since some years, he is living in Berlin /Germany, where he intensifies his contacts to other musicians of different cultural backgrounds. His style: Malik's Music is characterized by the various styles and rhythms that it blends. It is at the same time impulsive, traditional, festive and full of energy. Funky grooves mix with Reggae, african rhythms fuse with arabic Berber sounds from the Sahara.The new project, entitled « Afro-Gnawa-Rai Expérience », is like a mosaic, unifying many colours and influences.

Mitsch Kohn
Mitsch Kohn studied music and arts at the conservatory of Osnabrück and the university of Oldenburg. During his studies he discovered music-composing as his mission and won with his first orchestra-piece the first price of Unisong-Award (USA) for best instrumental in 2003. In 2009 his first symphony was performed with 240 musicians in the Stadthalle Osnabrück. (www.varus-sinfonie.de). Since 2005 he lives and works as a composer in Berlin and plays Keyboards with Malik Mé.

Jean-Luc Jossa was born in Luxembourg and is living in Berlin since 2008. He is a multi-percussionist, specialized in latin-americain percussion. He has learned the afro-cuban folkloric rhythms with Alberto Villareal (Conjunto Folkorico National de Cuba), Lali Brito Gonzalez (Clave y Guaguancó) et Maximino Duquesne (Rumberos de Cuba), and he studied latin percussion at the CODARTS Music Conservatory in Rotterdam.Jean-Luc has performed at many festivals, events and in many clubs in Europe: Northsea Jazz, Opening IAAF Berlin, ITB Berlin, Quasimodo, B-Flat, YAAM, Festival im Grünen (Paco Mendoza), Jazz Fest Burghausen, Afrika Festival Münster, Jazz Festival Luxembourg, Nijmegen Jazz Festival, Amsterdam Fashion Week, Berliner Runfunk 91.4, ISME Edmonton (Canada), Dance Roads Tour with Anne-Mareike Hess (Cardiff, Turin, Luxemburg, Montreal)Jean-Luc is currently working as a percussionist with the following bands: Malik Me (Congas, Timbales, Bongo) DLC*SÜDSOUND (Congas) Afro-Berlin Soundcheck (Timbales) Ensamble Barrio Adentro (Timbales) Salsa en Clave (Timbales) Press & Hold - World Drum'n Bass (Percussion) Summer Lounge (Percussion)

Ofer Wetzler
Ofer wetzler born in 1983 in Israel.In 1993 strted to play and study classical and jazz trombone and for took part in many ensembles and orchestras.In 1999 started to play the bass guitar, and he took part in different bands and projects in the Israeli scene.In 2006 he moved to berlin and since 2008 he studied in the Jazz-Institut-Berlin and he is a active bass player in the Berlin music scene.

Bjössi
Sveinbjörn "Bjössi" Klütsch born and raised in a musical family in Bamberg, Germany and is half icelandic. He started to play the violin at the age of 6 and at the age of 15 he switched his instrument to guitar, which soon became his main focus. He was self-taught for the most part, until he received a scholarship to study at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA. He graduated from Berklee with honors in 2005. At Berklee he majored in Guitar Performance and Contemporary Writing/Production and during that time he studied with Jon Finn, Tim Miller, Bruce Bartlett, Joe Stump, Bill Elliott, and many others.After graduating Berklee, he joined the alternative Rock band atris in January 2006 for a five month US national tour and lived in Los Angeles for a while, where he studied with film composer Christopher Young.Bjössi moved to Berlin in 2007, and is now involved in several other projects besides playing in the band "Malik Me". He is the guitarist for the Funk/Soul band "The Deep" and has an acoustic project with Sonja Staresina from the band "Klangzeit".2009 he was selected as the winner of the german guitar competition "Guitar Fight Club" by the audience vote and a jury, feat. Viktor Smolski, Michael Sagmeister, Christian Röver and Jill E Creek.Shortly after he started a collaboration in a jazz/fusion trio with italian bass virtuoso Roberto Badoglio .Since 2010 he is adjunct faculty member for jazz guitar at the "Universität der Künste",UdK in Berlin.

Malik Mé & Band
The music of singer /songwriter Malik Mé reflects his love for his homeland Algeria and his endless vitality. He sings about political issues of his homeland and about the nostalgia for this country with all its colours, the sun and the endless widness of the Sahara. The band consists of 7 musicians from 6 different countries. They electrify every public with their professional dynamic show, dragging everybody to the dancefloor!Their style is between Reggae, Pop and Funk, having the North-African Rai Music element as the soul of the Music.
